I bought two of these puzzles--one for my grandson (4) and nephew (5). Although, I found the puzzle to be helpful in teaching them how to tie shoes, their attention span with the puzzle lasted only a couple of minutes. They also got frustrated with not being able to take the pieces out withought untying the shoes.
